Energizing Vegan Chaga Mushroom Chocolate Recipe

Are you ready for this superhero chocolate? Most chocolate is just full of empty calories, but this chocolate comes packed with energizing adaptogenic chaga mushrooms, antioxidant-rich cacao, and mineral-rich maple syrup! Go ahead and have that second piece!


1 ¼ cup food grade cocoa butter finely chopped

2 tbsp coconut oil

1 cup raw cacao

4 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla

2 tbsp chaga mushrooms finely ground

Pinch of sea salt

Pinch of cayenne

Pinch of cinnamon


Add about 1 inch of water to a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Place a glass or ceramic mixing bowl on top Make sure the bowl does not touch the boiling water to create a double boiler.

Add finely chopped cocoa butter and coconut oil and let melt, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon. Once melted, carefully remove bowl from heat and add maple syrup and vanilla. Next add chagra mushrooms, sea salt, cayenne, cinnamon, and stir with a whisk until blended. Then add cacao and whisk until blended. Taste and adjust flavor as needed.

Pour chocolate into molds from the bowl or with a large spoon. Allow the cups to cool at room temperature, or put them in the fridge to speed up the process.
